The Royal Wedding - Part Two

As I promised, I am bringing our wedding story alive.

In Part One of the story, you already read about our trip to Hungary at the beautiful Lake Balaton location.

The days following our arrival were filled with excellent meals, spending time in the swimming pools, fun-filled chit-chats and relaxation. We were superchilled by Tue morning, ready for the Big Day. Most of the wedding guests arrived by Monday evening, including my girlfriends and some family members.

The anticipation was growing by the minute. I could only sleep the night before because the spa facilities totally tired me, not to mention the delicious Hungarian meals...

The Morning of the Big Day

The day started relaxed; Andy and Charlie planned to spend the morning till lunch in the spa again to stay out of the way... I anxiously waited for my brother's family to arrive from the countryside.

Finally, they made it by 10 in the morning, just before the make-up and hair team. The hotel set up two rooms with a door between them for my make-up/hair and my bridesmaids to look gorgeous.

This part of the day was the most I remember because it lasted for hours and hours. But in the end, we all looked beautiful and were ready to walk down the aisle.

The Ceremony

My sweet nieces were the bridesmaids.

They lifted up the event, the least to say.

My brother was honoured to walk me down the aisle by the beach.

All our guests were already seated and waiting for me to arrive. The setting was absolutely magical! It totally exceeded my expectations. We were blessed with the most gorgeous sunshine and warm weather - perfect for photography, too.

Andy and I agreed we wouldn't do wows. We asked the wedding officiant to say a few words about how we met.

She talked about Charlie, and Charlie's Big Brothers were also built into the speech. Overall, it was all about love & family.

The ceremony was short and sweet, and not long we accepted the congratulations and had a glass of champagne while getting the group photos taken.

By this point, everyone was ready for dinner...

To be continued.
