How I Won On The Slots In Monte Carlo

Nice+beach.jpg

I always loved France

…the seaside, girlfriend trips, casinos… so this long weekend with my friend, Lisa was one of the best I had while I was childless, single and carefree!

We stayed in Nice - as you do if you are not rich. Lisa found this charming and wonderful Bed & Breakfast walking distance from the beach.

It had a pretty garden with orange trees in it

We spent some time - limited time I must say - with sightseeing then we headed to the beach.

Our best fun we had though when we organized a driver/tour guide for the day. We visited a perfume factory then headed to Monte Carlo - stopped for photo taking as many times as we could. The views were spectacular!

In Monte Carlo we visited a casino, not the main one at the square but a smaller one for the tourist crowd on the side - where I headed straight to the slots.

A friend of mine - who was quite clued up on gambling - thought me how to play. I used what I learnt and in no time I win 400 Euros! I only spent/put in 40 Euros. I am sure I was also lucky too!

If you would like to know my tricks follow this fun guide

  • Always play on big machines i.e wheel of fortune, ignore the little ones

  • Wait for a slot that has been played on for some time, even 10 mins would do AND the person did not win on it, just walked away - have a drink and walk around in the meanwhile, pretend you are just watching ;-)

  • Always bet the highest bid! Pennies will not give you large win

  • Be patient, don’t expect to win straight away

  • Set a budget for yourself and do not exceed it

  • Walk away if it doesn’t work, you can always play another time and just remember how much fun you had

  • Gamble responsibly. Good luck!!

My winning covered all my expenses

It was a great weekend

Of course there are plenty of other things to see an do in the French Riviera!

Weekend in Nice France

After our long weekend with Lisa I promised myself I would come back one day

I treated Andy with a trip for his 50th Birthday so a few years ago we were back.

We had the best time. More in my future musings…
